Di Filippo

Passion, respect, love. These are the three forces which drive us in our daily lives with our vines. Passion for our work, respect for the soil and love for the family tradition in the cultivation of vineyards which produce wines expressing the terrain.

30 hectares, overlooking Assisi, resting on sun drenched hills between Torgiano and Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria.

We have a tradition of cultivation which respects nature, as we strongly believe in the need to find a constant balance between man, soil, flora and fauna.

As a result, we adopt organic cultivation which respects the laws of biodynamic farming.

We are certain that this will enable our children to continue farming.

Our farm , which includes 4 hectares of vineyards , is situated on a hill in the heart of classic Valpolicella in the north of Verona . The family-run , passion and love for the land , handed down from father to son , to know the territory and the choice of varieties of cultivated autochthonous grapes, such as Corvina , Rondinella and Corvinon are the characteristics at the base of our wines . How Az . Agr . We have existed for many generations , while for winemaking and the wine trade we operate three generations from the 30s .

Bellavista is one of the best known and most popular wineries in Franciacorta, famous strip of land capable of producing high quality sparkling wines. It comes from an intuition of Vittorio Moretti, who began making wine "to get away from the routine" and "found in his hand a jewel of the company." Moretti's own words help us to understand the spirit and history of Bellavista: a handful of hills between Lake Iseo and the plain of Brescia, a passion for wine, so much work with his hands in the earth. So, over the years, Franciacorta has been revealed as a great area for high quality sparkling wine and Bellavista has confirmed one of the most significant in this regard. The tradition of the past has been skillfully blended with a careful analysis of the best technical production of sparkling wine. Only in this way you can create anything from bottles of the highest quality, capable of becoming a symbol and spokesman of the land. In this way, Bellavista winery has carved out a role of absolute leadingactor, has managed to turn a passion into a renowned company, has spread its love for the vineyards to all wine lovers. And it once the terms love, passion and sacrifice, just add a proven expertise to achieve great heights quality: try asking to Bellavista, will show you the way.

The Bersano winery story starts at the beginning of the past century in Nizza Monferrato, the heart of the Barbera d’Asti district. Territory and Vineyards, soul of the grape, immediately became the winery’s main features when Arturo Bersano in 1935 took up the family run business. A visionary man whose motto “if you want to drink well, get yourself a vineyard” inspires our philosophy and work. The great passion of Massimelli and Soave families, the winery’s owners since 30 years, has enlarged the asset of Bersano vineyards and estates without forgetting his history and tradition and making the winery one of the most important wine reality in the country.

Cà del Bosco

We like to call it the “Metodo Ca’ del Bosco”. It encapsulates our idea of the Metodo Franciacorta. A personal, perhaps even romantic idea. It means embracing excellence in wine, the integrity of the territory and respect for tradition.
For us, respect for tradition means continuous improvement and never falling back on the generic and perhaps rather arid celebration of memory. Bringing together modernity and the past. We believe this is possible.

Cà Lustra

In the mid 60's Angelo Zanovello, engineer and son of farmers, decides to buy a farm in the Euganean Hills with the intention of creating a weekend "green shelter" for him and his large family. The chosen place is Faedo, in the very center of the plateau.

For forty years, as long as he lived, he never stopped restoring and beautifying the house, cultivating the land and enlarging the cellar, supporting the farming inclination of his late son, Franco, that from 1975 began to collaborate with growing effort.

So from 1977 Ca' Lustra began to be a company, with the intent to perpetuate the meaning of the name "Casa Lustra" (illustrious house) having been the birthplace of various characters that looked "illustrious" to the local peasants.

The company has grown in the years, without losing its character of local and family farm. in the same time, we grown the awareness and responsibility that bind us to our land: producing in the Colli Euganei Regional Park is more than a daily job, it means being keepers of a unique environment of a hundred islands in the

middle of the crowded Pianura Padana.

Today, Franco and his son Marco lead Ca' Lustra in accordance with organic farming practices, with an endless effort in research for environmental, social, and economical sustainability.

Being persuaded that all this effort can be found, better and better in time, in the quality of wine.

Canello Andrea

For three generations, the passion and the love for cultivating vineyards distinguish our wine business and since then we try to give to the new generations the values we acquired.

Andrea and his wife Giovanna refined the production techniques gaining the excellence of their products and they make all this available to new friends who want to share this!

Cantina del Trasimeno

Today the Cantina del Trasimeno is a cooperative society of 200 members on a surface area of approximately 300 hectares.

The choice of clones and rootstocks suitable quality to value in the cultivation, the use of strict agricultural techniques in the vineyard, the strong technological innovation in the winery and the technical contribution of serious and qualified professionals are the ingredients that make this Cooperative Winery one of the most interesting of the Trasimeno area and national wine scene.

The realization of the aging building in Città della Pieve, in the completely renovated historic cellars of the Town Hall, ends the project that is the basis of the "Duca della Corgna" wines.

The production is organized to control every stage of production cycle from the countryside to the cellar: from the production to the grapes harvesting, during the wine production, the wine aging in barrel or steel, bottling and aging in bottle.

Native grape varieties, like Gamay Perugino (or del Trasimeno) and Grechetto, receive special attention and care. The same for the classic Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in red wines and Trebbiano toscano among white grapes.

Cantina San Michele...

Graziano Merotto’s farm has strong ties to the land around Col San Martino, a Prosecco DOCG wine–producing area where vines have been cultivated for more than 2000 years. Here the love for the land runs through the veins of wine producers like sap in the vines themselves. Graziano Merotto works his vines by hand following in a rich tradition passed down through the generations from father to son and as far back as the early 1900s Agostino Merotto was well known for the quality of his Prosecco.

Col Vetoraz

Col Vetoraz lays on the very top of the homonymous hill next to the “Mont” of Cartizze in S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene. We are on one of the highest spots in Cartizze, 400 metres above sea level, from where the sight can recognize the entire area, the hamlet “Fol” on the east side and the hamlet “Sacol” on the west side.Miotto Family settled down in Col Vetoraz in 1838 and started growing vines (Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze Superiore). In 1993 Francesco, a direct descendant of Miotto family, together with Paolo De Bortoli and myself established the current Col Vetoraz, creating a heterogeneous and stimulating workgroup. In these last years the growth in experience of Col Vetoraz has been renowned and we think we have reached a good starting point in order to contribute to the identification and qualification of our wonderful land.

Contadi Castaldi

The name is a synthesis of the ancient history of Franciacorta, its 19 municipalities and their vocation for outstanding agriculture. In 1500, when the Venetian Republic was at the height of its splendour, Franciacorta produced food and wine destined for the tables of princes, kings and rich merchants. For Franciacorta, the beautiful city of Venice was the market of choice for introducing its wines.

Dario Coos

The Coos family has been making wine on the hillslopes at Ramandolo since the early 19th century. In other words, five generation of Coos passion for the fruits of this land. The winery today is run by a group of friends with a passion for wine, knowledge of the times, the season and the actions that lead to excellence.

The winery’s philosophy is to give meaning to tradition and traditional technique in the quest for the original, authentic Ramandolo, using new approaches and ancient materials. Today, our winery has new vine stock and new cellars but the harvest is still carried out by hand in the traditional fashion – there is no other way of working on the steep, terraced slopes.

The cellar vinifyes estate-grown fruit – as they say around here, “every grower gets the fruit he or she deserves” – with the skill and wisdom that inspire Ramandolo’s soul and its future.

The roots that tie the Majolini Family to its land are deep and start from far away – Ezio Maiolini explains – We must go back to the XVth century, when our family arrives in Ome, establishing itself. The tie with viticulture is born almost immediately and already our last name, borrowed right from an autoctonous grape variety, the one of Majolina, is the witness of this adventure.
The tie with our land has brought us great satisfactions! Especially to our father Valentino from whom we have inherited the passion and the love from wine production. It is him who decided, around the end of the 60’s, to renovate the old family winery and to start the cultivation of Ruc di Gnoc, a magnificent high hilled vineyard that still today produces the same named wine.

No wonder, then, if me and my brothers have enforced our roots, developing even more the project started by our father. The definitive turnaround took place with the acquisition, at the beginning of the 90’s, of the wonderful area called Campèi. In 1995 the buildings of the new winery started, a reality of 4.000 covered meters, situated in a dominant uncomparable valley.

Telling about the development of a winery means giving a great importance to research. The ones who produce a wine of excellence, cannot and do not want to think of development in terms of number, but in terms of quality. From 1981 to today our main goal has been to increment the potential of our vineyards, protect and increment the value of the territory, and optimize the productive procedures in the strict respect of the wine tradition.

Meran Burggrafler

The Monte Rossa is an historical wine producing company in which the country tradition blended harmoniously with technology and in which the artisan care and the very passionate research for excellence have been managed with great diligence and entrepreneurial behaviour , without compromises.

In 1972, the entrepreneur Paolo Rabotti with the precious help of his wife Paola, took up the way of vine growing.
This has been a very positive and forward-looking choice that still today is carried on with great enthusiasm and innovative attitude by their son Emanuele.

The Monte Rossa story is filled with strategically winning decisions, for example the decision of leaving as first Company the production of no-sparkling wines in favour of the research of the Franciacorta excellence or the decision to invest in technology with great determination, and furtherly the continuous research, tests and trials for which our Company is distinguished among the others.

Today the Monte Rossa Company manages 70 hectars of vineyards. The different locations of cru on plots with different exposition contribute to increase the aromatic richness of grapes in such a way to make up very rich cuvée under the frame and complexity aspect. The Company production is 500.000 bottles approx. per year.

Family Gatta has consolidated over the decades the local traditions and the traditional method handed down from father to son until the third generation of today.

Always attentive to technological changes in agricultural management , over time has been able to improve and expand both the knowledge and skills allowing them to melt the soul of the family , the nature of the territory and the specificity of the method to create unique products .
Tenute Lunelli

Tommasi Viticoltori (Tommasi vintners) is a family viticultural company founded in 1902.
It is situated in Pedemonte, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico region, a small piece of land in the North – West part of Verona, between the plains and Lessini mountains and near Garda lake.

From grandfather Giacomo’s tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily over the course of years and today owns vineyards and estates in four different Italian regions:
Tommasi Viticoltori and Filodora Estate in Veneto;
Tenuta Caseo in Oltrepò Pavese in Lombardy;
Casisano in Montalcino and Poggio al Tufo in Maremma Tuscany;
Masseria Surani in Manduri,a Puglia.

The estate is run by the 4th generation of the family, nine members working together in complete harmony, each with his well defined area of responsibility.

Founded in 1980 by Lucio Gomiero, Vignalta is now one of the most interesting estates of the Euganean Hills (Colli Euganei). Since 1994 Vignalta has vinified the grapes grown in its own vineyards.in the modern cellar at Arqua` Petrarca .The cellar is completely carved into the rock, and is suggestive, but mostly functional for aging wine in oak barrels at constant temperature and humidity.

With grapes grown on about 50 hectares of vineyards, Vignalta produces 250,000 bottles annually. From the vineyard of Mount Gemola we produce our flagship wine (Merlot – Cabernet Franc) that has so far received great recognition.

Besides founder Lucio Gomiero, the current owners at Vignalta are the Salvagnin and Guzzo families, Padua farmers who for some years have been actively involved in the world of wine and in the very special production reality of the Euganean Hills.

Our main goal is to spread the culture of good wine and to convey the origin of our wines and importance of our territory. Our passion drives us.

Lucio says that the success of the Vignalta wines,  are not only the result of dedication and expertise, but also of a particularly propitious  natural environment. The Euganean Hills, with their volcanic soils, are particularly rich in minerals with a mild climate and good temperature allowing us to produce extraordinary grapes.

“We are sure of the quality of our wines”, adds Lucio, “but we do not ask for acts of faith, we invite you to taste them”.

This is an invitation that you should make good on during all the time you spend here.

Falesco S.r.l.

Villa Franciacorta

The only possible path from vineyard to cellar is via the heart.

Villa Franciacorta, a small medieval hamlet dating back to the fifteenth century, is located in Monticelli Brusati just short distance from Lake Iseo. Around every corner of this precious area of Franciacorta you may catch glimpses of the past re-emerging in the medieval hamlet of Villa: from the Roman road that skirts the river and runs through the property, to the ancient well set beside the drive way and the perfectly preserved underground cellars dating back to centuries past.

Environmental protection and the restoration of the ancient hamlet are examples of how an ardent philosophy of life such as that of Villa Franciacorta can produce concrete results. The Bianchi family’s awareness of its role as guardian of a unique terroir ensures that all the wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown on its own 37 hectares of vineyards. The decision to sell only vintage Franciacorta is a further testimony to the family’s sound business judgment. These vintage wines enhance the features of the land and permit each bottle to render a unique record to the climate of each year of harvest. The visit to the Villa hamlet is a fascinating journey through time accompanied by the scents that characterise the enchanting natural basin at the foot of the hill of Madonna delle Rosa. The hilltop is covered by forests of oak, and heather and juniper, providing the ideal microclimate for the vines. The terraces that criss-cross the slopes are the result of specialised work and are supported by dry stone walls that come right down to the foot of the slope, where the cellars lie. The underground cellars are perfectly located to exploit the natural thermal conditioning that provides the ideal resting place for the Franciacorta as it awaits the time for its disgorging.

The winery now houses not only the historic cellar, but also the Villa Gradoni farmhouse accommodation - managed by Alessandro’s daughter, Roberta Bianchi - and the “Il Borgo in Franciacorta” restaurant.

Villa, a wine to remember.

It all began 52 vintage ago ...

In 1963 Leonardo Specogna, after residing in Switzerland as an emigrant for some years (typical situation for the people of the Friuli region in those years), went back to Friuli Venezia Giulia and bought a small plot of land on the hills of Rocca Bernarda in Corno di Rosazzo, in the heart of the vineyards in Friuli. These lands have always been devoted to oenology and here the plant of the vine has found the best conditions since Roman times, thanks to the fact that in this oriental strip of land of our region the climate and the soil have features that are unique and exceptional for winemaking. That was the origin of it… It all started with a 360-degree company that covered many aspects of the production for private consumption: dairy, cereal and wine production. Later, when Graziano and his wife Anna Maria started working in the company, the management techniques of the vineyards and of the winemaking were improved, making the farm more specifically focused on the winemaking sector. Nowadays, the activity of the company is galvanised by the presence of the third generation of Specogna winemakers Cristian and Michele that long ago have taken the lead of the company. They are granting an important company development trend and an expansion of the sales into the most important international markets, apart from creating, some years ago, another important reality of the Specogna family, that is to say the winery Toblar (www.toblar.it). Therefore, the goal of this family is the generational synergy to guarantee that binomial of tradition and innovation that represents the added value present in each production step. Today our company has an overall surface of 20 hectares, 18 of which are vineyards. We produce more or less 120,000 bottles per year, 50% of which are sold on the national market and 50% in more than 20 countries in the world.
